Food & Behavior Change

Sometimes knowing what to eat isn’t the problem.

You may already know plenty about nutrition — & still find yourself struggling with cravings, overeating, food noise, emotional eating, or patterns that seem almost impossible to change.

There is biology behind that struggle.

Highly rewarding foods can interact with the brain’s reward system, learned behaviors, environmental cues, stress, & deeply established habits. Simply telling yourself to “have more willpower” often isn’t enough.

My approach combines metabolic science, food-addiction concepts, & evidence-informed behavior-change strategies to help you understand what drives your eating patterns.

We’ll work on identifying:

  • Cravings & triggers

  • Habit loops & environmental cues

  • Hunger vs. reward-driven eating

  • Foods or situations that make moderation difficult

  • Strategies for interrupting automatic behaviors

  • Routines that make healthier choices easier

  • Grace & resilience when things don’t go perfectly

This isn’t another diet.

It’s an opportunity to understand your relationship with food & intentionally build a different one.

Less shame. More understanding. Better strategies.

Changing our relationship with food often involves more than changing what is on our plate. Faith can help us examine what we turn to for comfort, practice self-control without condemnation, & renew patterns of thinking that no longer serve us.

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
